Cress Williams sighting!

For anyone interested:

Cress Williams appears to have landed a regular role on the CBS Friday night drama "Close to Home." Kathleen and I started watching a bit last year, and it's pretty good. Then last week on the season premier, there is Cress. He is an investigator for the prosecutor's office and it looks to me like the biggest regular role I've seen him in since 90210, where he was the basketball player that Brandon tutored (My personal favorite.) It is on at 9pm PST before NUMB3RS. Set your TiVo.

Coming Home!!

I'm flying back to LA next week for a meeting and much needed break. I'll be in town until October 14th and hope to see you guys before I leave.

In case you haven't heard

Mark and I are expecting a baby on March 29th, the day before Mark's birthday. So far, so good. I am getting checked every two weeks to make sure my cervix isn't changing, and I will be going out on leave probably in December so I can take it real easy. For some portion of my time out I will probably be on bed rest, but for right now we are taking things week by week. We should find out the gender on November 1.

Big Sur, Big Fun

This has been a fun-filled summer. I was finally able to relax and truly enjoy one of the best perks of being a teacher. :) Before surrendering my freedom to the stresses of work, I wanted to go on one last trip. So, Michael and I loaded the Expedition with a tent, sleeping bags, food, maps, and some good tunes. We headed due north with no specific plan in mind. Though we knew that most of the campsites would be full because of the holiday weekend, we were lucky in that we found a place to stay both Saturday (San Simeon) and Sunday (Big Sur). It was a beautiful drive...the coastline was simply breathtaking. Once at Big Sur, after setting up camp, we went on a hike up a steep mountain. The view was gorgeous and I had to share it all with you. :) Things are good here in this part of the county. I hope all is well with the rest of you. :) xo, C
