Memory Lane

So, every Wednesday evening, I go down to Huntington Beach for an accupuncture appointment. The interesting thing (aside from the fact that I'm going to an accupuncture appointment), is that to get there I have to travel down roads I (we) travelled frequently in my (our) younger days. I usually take a slightly different route each time, which is one of my weirder habits. Anyway, I quite often travel down Magnolia and Newland to get down to the beach. In the course of my travels, I have been past most of our former homes, Savanna, the establishment formerly known as Bullwinkles, Brookhurst Jr. High (go Spartans), to name just a few. So many memories wash over me, it's hard to describe. Some are good, some bad, some funny. There are donut shops, the Linbrook bowl, places where I've done good and incredibly embarrassing things. Many parts of those neighborhoods are pretty sad looking these days too. Tonight, I went all the way down to the beach to see if I could see and hear some of the heavy surf. (It was apparently as big as 15' earlier today. So that's my blog entry. That's what I've been doing.

Piece-out,
Mark
